What can attendees expect at the gala?

A night of fun! Guests will enjoy live music by Who Rescued Who, heavy hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and an exciting live auction featuring the children's artwork and a silent auction featuring local small business offerings. Additionally, there will be custom fine line tattoos by Hans Kook and permanent jewelry by Bijubee Jewelry.

What should I wear to the gala?

The official dress code is formal, but more importantly—we want you to wear whatever makes you feel fabulous! Whether that’s a cocktail dress, a tux, a sparkly jumpsuit, or your favorite bold accessory, come dressed in a way that makes you feel confident and ready to have fun. If you would like to join in on a dress swap, Kimby’s office at the Melrose Preschool has a rack with options you can borrow.

Wait—did you say tattoos?!

Yes! This year’s gala will feature live fine line tattoos by the incredibly talented Hans Kook. If you’d like to get inked during the event, spots will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. You’ll leave your phone number with the artist and receive a text or call when it’s your turn.

You’re welcome to bring your own small design (up to 2”x2”) or choose from a selection of pre-designed flash art.

• Small custom designs: $60

Please come prepared with your tattoo placement in mind—tattoos will only be applied to arms and legs. To make sure as many guests as possible can participate, there's a limit of two tattoos per person.

What’s the deal with permanent jewelry?

We’re thrilled to have Bijubee Jewelry at the gala offering on-site permanent jewelry—delicate, custom-fit bracelets and anklets that are welded on (no clasp!) for a seamless, stylish keepsake. It’s quick, painless, and the perfect way to remember a special night. Pieces will be available for purchase at the event ranging between $40 and $60.

Can I volunteer to help with the event?
